The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster, Monster Island, was released at the exact same time as Godzilla King of the Monsters.

As an asylum movie, it has roughly the same budget as a big kid's dinner and only uses it sparingly. This includes focusing on just a few human characters and keeping its major actors in one Monster Island (2019) review set so that all their scenes can been filmed during lunch. However, lest we forget this is the kaiju genre and well... that is kind of how they go, so perhaps The Asylum won't do such a bad job with it?
